 General Policies & FAQ

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT OR DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?

Our clients with appointments have priority when it comes to our artist's time, so we do recommend scheduling ahead, however, we do accept walk-in appointments. Walk-ins are subject to availability of the artists in the studio upon arrival.

BOOKING FEES

A non-refundable Booking Fee of $50 will be collected upon scheduling your tattoo appointment. This fee does not go toward the cost of your tattoo. If you cancel your appointment at any time, this fee will not be refunded, so please make sure to show up at your scheduled time/date.

MINOR POLICY

We DO NOT tattoo minors, even with parental consent. All clients must be able to present legal identification if requested by the owner or artists. ALL clientele must be at least 18 years of age.

DRUG/ALCOHOL POLICY

It is really important not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while getting tattooed. This can cause many complications during a tattoo, as well as during the healing process, therefore we will have to cancel your appointment if you show up under the influence, and you will lose your booking deposit. As a precaution, certain over-the-counter medicines which cause blood thinning are NOT recommended within 24 hours of getting a tattoo, like ibuprofen and aspirin. We also suggest not getting any tattoos within 30 days of taking antibiotics, as they can affect the integrity of the tattoo and healing process.

HOW MUCH WILL MY TATTOO COST?

The pricing on tattoos can vary greatly, depending on factors such as size, detail, color, and placement. The price may also vary from artist to artist, as each tattooist sets their own hourly and base rates for pieces. The best way to find out the cost of your tattoo is to come in and ask! Bring your design or reference, know where you want your tattoo (and what size), and we can give you a quote.

THIS IS MY FIRST TATTOO. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

The tattooing process may involve various levels of discomfort. Everybody has their own individual perception of what the process feels like. Typically, there is a vibrating sensation accompanied by a light to moderate stinging feeling while the tattoo is being applied to the skin. There is usually a lingering soreness after the process which can last for several days, but typically goes away within a week. There may be redness around the new tattoo, which usually goes away within a few days. There may me mild to moderate swelling of the area after the tattoo process, this usually subsides within a few days. Your artist will advise you on after-care of your new ink before you leave our studio.

CAN I BRING MY OWN DESIGN?

Yes. Feel free to bring in your own design. If there are foreseeable conflicts with the design as a feasible tattoo (i.e. too small, too crowded with detail), our artists can usually find an agreeable solution, and create a workable design from your idea. We are also happy to create original custom designs for our clients, based upon their conceptual ideas and visual imagery. This type of work typically involves a waiting period; while the design is drawn, and usually involves setting an appointment (booking fees apply), as well as an additional deposit on the drawing.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER, NEIGHBOR, ETC TO MY APPOINTMENT?

We ask that you limit your visitors to only 1 extra person (18+) with you in the studio at a time, as space is limited in artist areas. Contact your artist directly to see if we can accommodate an exception for special circumstances.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT? WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please refrain from sun exposure/tanning beds the 2 weeks prior to (as well as the 2 weeks after) your appointment. Get a good rest the night before, eat a full meal, and drink lots of water before coming in. We also recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing that will limit obstruction to the area that we will be tattooing.

If you are a new client, please bring a government-issued photo ID (license, state ID, passport, etc.) with you to your first appointment.

Please bring any reference material with you. The day of your tattoo appointment, please bring anything your artist requested of you at your consultation. Feel free to bring your headphones, a tablet, book, magazine, bottle of water/any other non-alcoholic beverage with a lid, and light snacks if desired.
